Our mission is to empower families who are coping with childhood cancer by providing knowledge, resources, assistance, and hope.

We serve children who live in NH regardless of where they receive treatment, or who live in VT and receive their cancer care in NH.

Helping since 1995

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline was founded in 1995 by a group of parents who had all heard the words “your child has cancer”. They knew first-hand the trauma a family faces when a child is diagnosed. They understood the challenges a family faces during, and after treatment. Together, they sought to create an organization that would help to address the practical and emotional support needs of other families.

For the first fourteen years, the Lifeline was a strictly volunteer organization dedicated to addressing these needs. All fundraising efforts, programs, and service delivery were conducted by members of the board and caring community members.

In 2009, the Lifeline added a part-time Program Coordinator position to conduct all initial outreach visits with families.  The cost associated with this position is donor-funded. As an organization, the Lifeline is committed to raising funds and giving it directly to the people who need it, the families. To ensure that the needs of families are always in the forefront, the majority of the board is mandated to be a majority of family members directly impacted by pediatric cancer (parents, siblings, survivors).

The Childhood Cancer Lifeline is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
