2008
CHILDHOOD CANCER LIFELINE WEEKEND
AT PATS PEAK RAISES OVER $20,000!
A
Follow Up From the CCL Committee...
Childhood
Cancer Lifeline Weekend (CCL) at Pats Peak, held March
1st and 2nd, 2008, raised just over $20,000 this year,
insuring much needed support for NH families whose children
are battling cancer.
Members
of the CCL extend their profound thanks to Pats Peak
and all of its employees, for their continued creative
and enthusiastic support. In addition to assisting us
and hosting our auction event, this year they coordinated
a week long donation request campaign. Visitors to the
Peak over February Vacation Week donated over $7,000.
The lodge literally papered in well wishes was a sight
to behold.
In
addition to the volunteers from the Peak, we extend
our heartfelt thanks to John Mann, who organizes our
amazing bands each year. It is no small feat to assemble
that much talent, and haul that much gear, to the third
floor of the lodge. The bands lend energy to this event
that needs to be witnessed to believe!
We have a great group of board members and volunteers
who work hard both at the event and at requesting items
for the auction. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the
members of Tri-Delta (Karen Kana, Heather Wilding, Michele
Campbell), as well as Rita Blanchard, Pat Bryer, Saundra
Konrad, Eren Martin, Steph Osborne and Amy Patenaude
for their continued assistance requesting donations.
This year’s event was one of our most fun, and
most successful events to date. It was a direct result
of their hard work, the willingness of area businesses
to contribute, and the support of the folks who attended.
The desire of those in attendance to reach out and make
a difference was obvious. On behalf of all of us on
the board, we extend our thanks to you all!
